Lavinia & Rares / Art, Fashion, and Intention in Bucharest & Maldăr Mansion
Some weddings are defined by tradition. Others are shaped entirely by identity. Spanning two distinct days, this celebration unfolded as a natural extension of who they are — creatively driven, deeply grounded, and effortlessly expressive. Their civil marriage began in Bucharest, moving through the quiet modernity of the city’s art museum, where fashion and architecture became part of the narrative rather than decoration. She chose a sculptural peplum dress by Rotate Copenhagen paired with playful balloon sandals from Loewe, later exchanging ceremony tradition for a sharply tailored suit by House of Dagmar and timeless heels by Manolo Blahnik. His custom tailoring by Tudor Tailor mirrored the same quiet confidence — precise, personal, intentional.
Their wedding day at Conacul lui Maldăr introduced a softer counterpoint. Following an intimate ceremony in a small village church, celebration moved into the historic mansion surrounded only by family and close friends. The bride wore jewelry from her own brand, Brutalista, alongside her grandparents’ wedding bands — design meeting legacy. A custom gown and veil by Otilia Brailoiu gave way, later in the evening, to a playful mini dress by Clio Peppiatt in collaboration with Annie’s Ibiza, perfectly aligned with the energy of an unexpected jazz-swing first dance.
Nearly every element carried personal authorship. The sculptural bouquet by Nocturn Flowers and the tablescape concept — created by the bride alongside her mother and mother-in-law — transformed the space into something intimate and lived rather than styled. Across both days, what emerged was not a performance of a wedding, but a portrait of partnership: creative freedom, emotional ease, and a love that moved through every room with unmistakable electricity.
For couples approaching marriage as an act of self-expression — where fashion, art, and feeling hold equal weight — this celebration stands as a reminder that the most compelling weddings are simply honest reflections of the people at their center.
